Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy allows an individual to restore movement and function in their body after being afflicted with illness, injury, or disability. Furthermore, it reduces the risk of damage in the future.
Physical rehabilitation can be beneficial for all age groups suffering from a variety of conditions like pain due to damage to the bones, joint or soft tissue including sports injuries, diseases that affect motor functions Parkinson’s disease or stroke, and diseases that can affect breathing like COPD and cystic fibrosis.
The Physiotherapy Department at Shalamar Hospital is a leading centre of rehabilitation excellence, committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centred care. Our multidisciplinary team includes HCPC-registered professionals and clinicians with advanced training in Neurorehabilitation, Women’s Health, Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Lymphedema Management, Rheumatology Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, and Musculoskeletal Medicine.
We serve as a recognized clinical teaching site for DPT students (3rd, 4th & 5th year) and work closely with national and international collaborators to promote best practices in physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences.
