Pediatrics

Paediatrics is a medical field that focuses on the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. Paediatricians are physicians who provide not only medical care for children who are ill but also preventive health services like vaccinations for healthy children.

The Department of Pediatrics at Shalamar Hospital is committed to delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Our team comprises qualified pediatric consultants, fellows, postgraduate residents, medical officers, and trained nursing staff providing round-the-clock services across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and intensive care settings.

Our clinical practice follows national and international guidelines, with structured protocols for neonatal and pediatric emergencies. The department is also actively involved in medical education, offering undergraduate MBBS training and an accredited postgraduate program (FCPS Pediatrics), supervised by experienced faculty members.

We take pride in providing safe, family-centred care supported by modern facilities, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement.
